Four Streams of Wisdom

An Interspiritual Dialogue
October 19, 2024
Eido Roshi and Tessa Bielecki share a laugh at Naropa Christian-Buddhist dialogue

Eido Roshi and I add levity to Naropa Institute’s Buddhist-Christian dialogue by singing my parody of “Do You Love Me?” from Fiddler on the Roof.

At Naropa University October 25-27, I will serve as “World Wisdom Teacher-in-Residence.”  I’m  delighted to be sharing reflections on Buddhist-Christian dialogue and on three streams of wisdom that have formed and inspired me. First I’ll spend several days with students on campus. Then on Friday, October 25, Naropa founding faculty member Dr. Judith Simmer-Brown and I will share our experiences of Naropa’s historic Buddhist-Christian Dialogues.

I was the youngest and only woman participant in the 1981 dialogue. In fact, I was scared to death! But it changed my life in profound ways.

On Saturday and Sunday, October 26-27, I’ll reflect on  the most important lessons I’ve learned the past eighty years! Find out more here at the Desert Foundation’s Sand and Sky web site.

Join us in person or via livestream!
